Surtout lorsque le v\u00e9lo est utilis\u00e9 dans la circulation urbaine, c\u2019est un point important. Apr\u00e8s tout, faire du v\u00e9lo en ville signifie tr\u00e8s souvent s\u2019arr\u00eater ou ralentir, puis acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer \u00e0 nouveau. Cela explique pourquoi il existe des longtails avec une roue arri\u00e8re de taille r\u00e9duite. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certains mod\u00e8les viennent avec des roues de 2&#215;20&Prime;  (par exemple: Riese &amp; M\u00fcller &#8211; MultiTinker, Bicicapace &#8211; Justlong, Tern &#8211; GSD), d\u2019autres fabricants optent pour une roue avant plus grande combin\u00e9e \u00e0 une roue arri\u00e8re de 20&Prime;  (par exemple Bike43, Yuba &#8211; Spicy Curry). Une roue avant plus grande augmente l\u2019effet d\u2019inertie et est donc moins susceptible de d\u00e9vier de sa trajectoire lorsque vous traversez un obstacle, par exemple un dos d\u2019\u00e2ne ou une route \u00e0 pav\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9l\u00e9ment important pour la stabilit\u00e9 du v\u00e9lo est la rigidit\u00e9 du cadre. Les Longtails sont donc lourds et ont parfois une g\u00e9om\u00e9trie de cadre atypique. Les freins doivent \u00eatre jumel\u00e9s \u00e0 la charge typique du v\u00e9lo. Un choix pour un syst\u00e8me de freinage hydraulique est certainement pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable. Compte tenu de l\u2019importance des roues plus petites pour la stabilit\u00e9 du v\u00e9lo, nous pouvons \u00e9galement dire que les freins hydrauliques sur jante sont moins adapt\u00e9s. Apr\u00e8s tout, les jantes des roues de 20&Prime; seraient fortement impact\u00e9es par le frein sur jante compte tenu de la petite circonf\u00e9rence. Le frein \u00e0 disque hydraulique est donc la meilleure alternative.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>B\u00e9quille:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La b\u00e9quille est une pi\u00e8ce typique dont vous ne r\u00e9alisez l\u2019importance que lorsqu\u2019elle est d\u00e9fectueuse. Une bonne b\u00e9quille offre stabilit\u00e9 et facilit\u00e9 d\u2019utilisation. L\u2019exp\u00e9rience nous a appris que les meilleures b\u00e9quilles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es par le fabricant du longtail m\u00eame. La b\u00e9quille est alors parfaitement int\u00e9gr\u00e9e sur le cadre du v\u00e9lo avec la bonne longueur et un point de basculement bas. Dans un tel environnement, une transmission dans le moyeu est avantageuse. En effet, elle vous permet de changer de vitesse \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat. De cette fa\u00e7on, vous pouvez rendre le d\u00e9part m\u00eame en \u00e9tat charg\u00e9, nettement plus l\u00e9ger.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que la plupart des v\u00e9los longtail sont aujourd\u2019hui \u00e9quip\u00e9s d\u2019un moteur central puissant, il est important que la transmission dans le moyeu puisse assumer le couple du moteur. Pour les consommateurs qui recherchent une bonne alternative pour transporter leurs enfants \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, il est utile de clarifier les diff\u00e9rences entre les alternatives pr\u00e9sentes sur le march\u00e9. Beaucoup de v\u00e9los dits longtail vendus aujourd\u2019hui ne m\u00e9ritent pas cette d\u00e9signation. Dans de nombreux cas, il s\u2019agit plus d\u2019un v\u00e9lo midtail plut\u00f4t que d\u2019un v\u00e9lo longtail.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chez Velonaut, nous parlons d\u2019un v\u00e9lo longtail lorsque 2 si\u00e8ges enfants peuvent facilement \u00eatre mont\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re sans cr\u00e9er de \u00ab conflit \u00bb avec le cycliste. Sur les v\u00e9los dits midtail, le cycliste entre en collision avec ses talons contre les repose-pieds du premier si\u00e8ge. Il est clair que ce n\u2019est pas une position agr\u00e9able pour rouler \u00e0 v\u00e9lo. Dans ces sc\u00e9narios, nous observons souvent que les parents optent trop t\u00f4t pour une configuration de banquette \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re pour les enfants. Cependant, les si\u00e8ges pour enfants offrent plus de soutien pour les plus jeunes.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 ce sujet, je voudrais me r\u00e9f\u00e9rer aux recommandations <em>l\u2019Institut VIAS<\/em>, centre belge de connaissances sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re et la mobilit\u00e9 (rapport de recherche 2018-T-05):<\/p>\n<cite><em>Sur un v\u00e9lo, autant de personnes qu\u2019il y a de si\u00e8ges peuvent \u00eatre transport\u00e9es<\/em><em>. \u2026 <\/em><em>Il n\u2019y a pas de r\u00e9glementation diff\u00e9rente pour le transport des enfants, mais il est conseill\u00e9 de leur fournir un si\u00e8ge adapt\u00e9. <\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En tant que parent, il est donc utile d\u2019\u00e9valuer soigneusement la configuration du v\u00e9lo afin de pouvoir transporter vos enfants en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir. Si vous avez 2 enfants qui sont devenus trop grands pour le si\u00e8ge enfant classique, un v\u00e9lo midtail avec configuration banquette est certainement une alternative valable.
